Major Camera Update Coming to Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra

The delay for the Samsung Galaxy S24's first firmware update was finally over.

This update brought important fixes for dull display colors and camera processing improvements.

Samsung quickly rolled out a second update for the smartphone, although without bringing any significant changes.

After two firmware updates, it’s still possible for the company to further improve the Galaxy S24 Ultra's camera performance.

The Korean smartphone maker will allegedly release a major camera-specific update for its flagship in April.

A leak from Ice Universe claims Samsung is preparing two software updates for the Galaxy S24 series.

The March update will add an "underage mode" and introduce some camera improvements.

More important camera-focused firmware will arrive in April with white balance optimization and telephoto shooting.

The Galaxy S24 lineup is already getting the March 2024 update. So, the leaker may be referring to another firmware that will land towards the end of this month or early April.

This will be followed by major camera-centric changes that will be implemented in late April or early May.

Usually, Samsung releases major updates to its flagship smartphone a few months after its release to boost its camera performance.

The Galaxy S23 got the update in June last year, which added 2x zoom for portrait mode, alongside other camera processing improvements.

Since the Galaxy S24 series arrives earlier than its predecessors, the camera update will also arrive a few weeks earlier.

While the Galaxy S24 Ultra and its smaller siblings have great camera setups, their image processing performance is a bit disappointing.

To produce more natural shots, Samsung has reduced the color boost.

Despite this, the camera is still inconsistent, especially with shaky white balance, exposure, and an inability to freeze motion.

If you know Samsung, you don’t want to hope that the rumored camera-centric update will fix all the shortcomings of the S24 Ultra.

Firmware will certainly address deficiencies to some extent, but it is unlikely to solve them all.

YouTube Implements New Labeling Policy for AI-Generated Content

Starting today, YouTube requires users to state whether the videos they upload include altered or synthetic media, including content generated by artificial intelligence. For videos about sensitive topics like health, news, elections, or finance, YouTube says it will label the videos itself. The platform explained that they will ask users who upload new videos to answer "Yes" or "No" whether their videos contain altered content or not. Specifically, it will ask if any of the following describes their content: 1. Make real people appear to say or do something they didn't say or do. 2. Altering a recording of a real event or place. 3. Produce scenes that look realistic but don't actually happen. If the user answers "Yes," YouTube will put a label in the video description that says "Altered or synthetic content." The announcement comes as technology companies look to tackle the problem of online misinformation generated by AI...

Crazy Puffs That Drive a Lot of People Crazy

There's a new insanely popular food on the internet, and it's something everyone can afford. The maker is a pizza company that is famous for its cheap but attractive offers. It’s Little Caesars, which released its new Crazy Puffs on March 11, promising fast food consumers a satisfying handheld option. The company describes the puffs as "bite-sized pockets of pizza perfection". They come in the forms of mini pizzas wrapped in a crust cup with red sauce, cheese, optional pepperoni, and a little garlic butter topping. The price is only $3.99 for a pack of four puffs. At first glance, we don't see any innovation in this food product, because it just reuses the classic pizza to be more portable. But it seems the internet says otherwise. Putting aside the innovation factor, many social media users call Crazy Puffs one of the best fast foods that money can buy. The puffs suddenly went viral on social media, with influencers and regular people posting thei...

Two Men Accused of Stealing Tesla’s Battery Technology

Federal prosecutors in New York announced on Tuesday that two men are accused of starting a business in China using stolen battery manufacturing technology from Tesla and attempting to market the confidential data. Federal authorities reported the arrest of Klaus Pflugbeil, a 58-year-old Canadian living in Ningbo, China. He was arrested on Long Island on Tuesday morning under the impression that he was meeting with businessmen to negotiate the price of the information he was selling. However, the businessmen were, in fact, undercover federal agents. The other person named in the criminal complaint is a 47-year-old man from Ningbo, Yilong Shao, who remains at large. The two are accused of conspiring to share trade secrets, a crime that could result in up to 10 years of imprisonment if found guilty. There was no immediate response from Pflugbeil’s lawyer to phone and email messages seeking comment on Tuesday night, and Tesla also didn’t respond promptly to a questioning email messa...
